From its first project extending the reach of instrumentation of the BP Bulwer Island refinery using telemetry to the BCC Water Treatment facility, Parasyn has been adding feathers to its cap in terms of technology offering and engineering capability.
It wasn’t long after Parasyn’s first few projects began that it was clear electrical design and interfacing needed to become a core skill. This was quickly succeeded by extending SCADA to the enterprise through enterprise information systems. Unable to find software with-in the automation industry that auto created reports, Parasyn began building its own Process Information Portal to overcome our customer need of having a database administrator on the team. This was in the days where “portals” were the buzz for the IT team but for Process Automation Solutions it wasn’t a reality yet. Driver software development was also a key part of our R&D team with device and historian interfaces being developed to plug the gap in the industry. Parasyn still continues to adopt new technology and more recently added perhaps the most disruptive technology yet to be fully realised in every walk of life; Predictive Analytic solutions.
Along the way, some of Parasyn’s showcase projects received Pace Zenith awards including pipeline leak detection systems, data validation and report correction systems for time series data systems and other advanced process control solutions.
During the 15 year span, Parasyn has invited over 100 engineering and technology skilled people to join them full time in their journey. Some have been with us for nearly the entire time. Despite some new additions to the team recently, the average stay at Parasyn currently sits at +7 years. There is a unique cohesion within this team and a depth of experience inside the walls of the Melbourne, Brisbane and other offices of Parasyn. In a recent publication from staff to company directors was the message:
“15 years is a massive achievement. Thanks for the vision and a great place to work”
Any success Parasyn has been claimed or been apportioned via award or business success, is all about the people. The people are the teams who deliver the projects, who organise and coordinate behind the scenes, who research and develop the solutions and of course those that enjoy the results – our customers. Passionately Parasyn speaks of its customers in high esteem. Parasyn values its relationships and the working friendships which have been in some cases developing for many of the 15 years. We stay in touch with some of our former customer friends who have moved on. Our success is theirs too.
Thank you to our customer/friends. Thank you to our loyal and dedicated staff.
