Parasyn Delivering Controls Package for BFHI's Mount Martha MSB & Generator Upgrade

Parasyn was engaged by the BFHI Joint Venture, a partnership between BecaHunterH2O, Fulton Hogan and Interflow, to deliver the PLC and SCADA controls package for the Mount Martha MSB Replacement and Generator Upgrade. The project sits within South East Water's broader capital works program to renew critical water infrastructure across Melbourne's south east, and covers the controls supporting a full main switchboard (MSB) replacement and generator upgrade at the Mount Martha Water Recycling Plant.

Choosing Migration Over Rebuild

Rather than redeveloping the plant's control system from scratch, Parasyn proposed a risk-based, structured code migration, converting the plant's existing standard code to the current UDFB standard while preserving the automatic and sequencing logic that keeps the plant running day to day. It's a lower-risk path than a full rebuild, chosen to protect plant continuity through the eventual cutover and leave South East Water with a more maintainable asset.

02 / Reaching Factory Acceptance Testing

Reaching Factory Acceptance Testing

The project has now reached its Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) stage, with FAT conducted and signed off with South East Water in early September 2026. The team is moving into final testing and site cutover, targeting completion in mid-2027.
